Tet Party
Finally, the day arrived for us to celebrate Tet in school ... with no students!!! They have gone back to their home towns for Tet. So we had our own celebration in school with our own staff. Great food, nice decor and a hilarious time playing funny games. We're glad to be one big family celebrating Tet together. TAIK will break for a week and resume classes on Mon 2 Feb 09. The Principal, teachers and staff wish everyone a happy Tet holiday and a wonderful year of the Ox.

Visit to the Zoo
Today, TAIK made its first school field trip - to the Saigon Zoo. This visit was planned to coincide with the Unit on Animals for the Pre-Nursery Class. Excited teachers and student (unfortunately only Yellow was able to make it) made their way to the local zoo and had an entertaining and educational time looking out for animals that they have learnt in class.

Anticipating Tet
The Tet fever is rising as all of us prepare to celebrate Tet. Part of the lessons this week included preparation for Tet and our kids have been doing worksheets and craft on the Tet theme. As part of the Pre-Nursery theme of 'Animals', TAIK kids will be visiting the zoo next week. Both staff and teachers are excited about the field trip. The kids are planning (actually, the teachers) a surprise for parents so we'll keep that under wraps until next week. There will also be a Tet Party on Fri 23 Feb 2009 at 9.00am. Parents are warmly invited to enjoy the occasion with us. School will end at 12pm that day.

New Student
We had our 3rd student today, a cute little girl named Ngoc who was nicknamed Yellow by our teachers because of her love for the colour yellow.
Things are moving faster now as a few parents have indicated that they will register their children after Tet. This week, teachers are concentrating on learning and activities related to Tet/Chinese New Year. We'll be posting pictures of the crafts that TAIK kids will be doing.

Hello 2009
How time flies. It's a week into the New Year 2009 and we're busy taking down Christmas decorations and putting up new ones for Tet. The kids will be having activities related to Tet and Chinese New Year over the next 2 weeks before we break for Tet.
It's the Year of the Ox ... why "Ox" and not "Cow"??
Poor tree was stripped of its leaves in the hope that it will bloom faster - in time for Tet...hope...
We bid a new member, Ms Evy, a very warm welcome to the TAIK family. Ms Evy is our new Asst Office Manager.
The kitchen and the computer lab have finally been completed and we are now almost 100% operational.
Bao looks pretty pleased with the Promethean ActivBoard
Ngoc's unhappy with the earphones. Naughty earphones!!
