Today, we gave out Star Awards to students who have done well in class, put in effort and shown improvement. It is our desire to give awards to every child as often as we can - however, these awards must be earned. A child must know that he/she has been awarded because of their effort, improvement or good work.

A new semester
Monday was the start of the third and last semester of the school year 2008/2009. Although it's been a week since we saw our little kids, it seems like a long time. Today, we visited Quest Xone for our Friday Treat - it was a fun time for all, especially those visiting Quest Xone for the first time with us. As usual, teachers ended up doing most of the running around while the kids had the most fun. The photos speak for themselves.

Supermarket visit, progress report & newsletter
Today's Friday Treat is a visit to the supermarket. MaxiMark @ Cong Hoa was our destination. We wanted to go to Coop Mart but there was a blackout in the vicinity and we decided not to take a chance. As usual, our kids attracted a lot of attention. They enjoyed themselves learning about fresh fruits and other things that they have studied in class. The toys and sweets sections were, of course, their favourite. We bought their morning snacks and our kids ate at MaxiMark before coming back for a rest and lunch.
Progress reports are out today, as is our monthly newsletter. Parents are requested to view the Progress Reports as such - how your child is progressing in TAIK. The report is not meant for comparison between children as they develop at different rates at this age. The report is not meant to tell you how "good" or "bad" your child is. The report is for you to work with your child's teacher to help him/her progress both in school and at home. If you have any queries, please do not hesitate to approach our Principal/teachers.
