Hello Vi Vi
We're very happy to welcome cute Vi Vi to our family. She's taking some time to settle down and all should be well within a few days. And this is Vi Vi ...

NEW STUDENTS
TAIK warmly welcomes our 9th (Viet), 10th (Kevin) and 11th student (Long). The other students are happy to have 3 new friends to play with.

Long is 20 months old

INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY
TAIK teachers and staff would like to thank all parents for the gifts of flowers and fruits on International Women's Day (8 Mar 09). We are very happy to know that parents appreciate our efforts to love and teach your children. Your kind gestures make us work harder to ensure that your children get an excellent education and tender loving care in TAIK.

POOL
Our kids had a great time this morning playing in the pool. Water is something most children love and we felt it was easier to bring the pool to the children than to bring our students out to the pool. The photos tell the complete story.

Here's one little boy who prefers to play out of water

Long joined us today and is a little shy; Ms Nga is looking after him today

FUMIGATION
TAIK has engaged T-T-P Pest Control to fumigate the school premises monthly. The company uses non-toxic chemicals from the US for fumigation which are safe for children.

QuestXone
QuestXone is our playground for the day as excited kids got ready to start play. Everyone had a sliding and rolling good time running around this indoor playground located at Nguyen Tri Phuong. The photographs testify to this. Seemed like the one hour play wore out the teachers more than the students.

Welcoming our 6th student, Suri
Our 6th student, Suri, a bright little girl, joined us this week. Welcome to TAIK, little Suri.

Suri & Daddy

It's a respite from the heat as it rained this week after many dry days. Ms Phuong took the opportunity to bring our little kids upstairs to learn about rainy weather. The hot spell is coming to town early this year, according to the local weather report.

Our 5th Student
We are happy that Ruby is back with us. He came to us for a few days before Tet and was crying away for his parents. Look at him now.
Ruby is happy

Kim has found a new friend in Yellow, and vice versa.

4th student
Tet has come and gone...so quickly. It's the end of the first week after Tet and we have our 4th student, Kim. She'll take some time to settle down, as do all of us in a new environment. We welcome her warmly.
Looks like Kim has settled down quickly and happily

Bao has learnt to differentiate between "a" and "A" while Yellow has picked up the skills of jigsaw puzzles very quickly. Little Ngoc came back to us - which made our day in TAIK. She was making such good progress in TAIK and we were very sad to see her go as her family had shifted to a new home. However, she had wanted to come back to school so adamently that her mother just had to agree. Welcome back, Little Ngoc.
Little Ngoc is happy to be back

Spontaneous role play - we encourage our children to make individual choices and this is one occasion where they make their own choice of role-play. We provide the toys and encourage them to choose the toys for their own role play.

New Student
We had our 3rd student today, a cute little girl named Ngoc who was nicknamed Yellow by our teachers because of her love for the colour yellow.

Things are moving faster now as a few parents have indicated that they will register their children after Tet. This week, teachers are concentrating on learning and activities related to Tet/Chinese New Year. We'll be posting pictures of the crafts that TAIK kids will be doing.
